First Saturday July 7 – Focus on Rescuing and Repurposing

As a maker and a person in this world, I feel very strongly about using as much of the yardage I purchase as possible. I do my very best to come up with new ways to use even the smallest bits by either incorporating them into a garment or by creating an entirely new piece of yardage by sewing all the leftover pieces together to be cut up all over again.  Likewise, I’m a big believer in using existing garments for either their fabric or  at least parts of them.

Please visit the Oona Studio on Saturday July 7 from 12-5pm to check out what I’ve used the small bits for.  I’m happy to discuss the story of those garments and accessories.  All items in the studio that are made from rescued and repurposed yardage or garments will be priced at 20% off in the spirit of them continuing on to the next part of their lives.

Please also feel free to bring along any fabric or garments you’d like to figure out another use for – it’s always fun to brainstorm!  If you are unsure of how to go about a project, let’s figure it out together.  I can help by offering advice or I’m open to taking on a commission to help you achieve your repurposing dreams!
