A Little About Oona

Oona Clothing Company was established in 2000. I make all Oona garments with the goal to fit many shapes and sizes. My aim is to have everybody look great and feel comfortable while doing it!

As well as my line of women’s clothing, I started making underpants for women in Spring 2004 and over the years have added several more styles of women’s undergarments.

Not wanting to leave anyone out, I’ve also added styles for men, kids and babies! And in the spirit of inclusion, they/them are always welcome at Oona!

It was a long time in the works and finally – finally! – as of Fall 2018,  Oona Unders became available in sizes up to 5XL in women’s, men’s and they/them styles.  The plus and big and tall sizes offer the same cuteness, the same comfort and COST THE SAME (can you believe it?!) as Oona styles in any other size.

To support other local businesses, I source all of my fabric locally so you know I have seen it and touched it before I chose it and used it. This means that quite often there is only a certain amount available and sometimes I can only do a limited colour run of some styles. This also means each garment is a pinch more special.

To ensure comfort and longevity, I most often use 95% cotton/ 5% spandex fabrics for the Unders but I do occasionally use other fabrics that I find which suit my designs and I just can’t resist. These fabrics include bamboo, silk and other blends.

In recent years, I have begun making unisex adult tanks and tees featuring some of the forty-plus images I have to offer, and to use up yardage and the small bits of fabric left over from cutting other styles, I make Frankenpants, accessories and post-production styles.

Every garment is made in-studio from start to finish with my own hands, including all of the artwork and silk screening to ensure every piece is made to my standards (and with a little love!).
